Questions I get asked.

If yours isn't here, ask it directly. A short email gets a real answer faster than this page will.

working together

Do you work in our codebase?
Yes, that's the default. Your repo, your CI, your review process. No parallel codebase for your team to inherit at the end.
How much of your time do we get?
Fixed-scope builds get most of a week, every week, with a weekly demo. Retainers are capped days agreed up front.
Do you take agency subcontracts?
Yes. White-label delivery and direct client contact both work.
Are you available for full-time roles?
Not currently. Freelance engagements and retainers only.

scope & pricing

Can you take over a stalled AI project?
Often. Start with a two-week audit: what works, what's unmeasured, what to cut. It ends with a written recommendation you can act on with or without me.
How do you price?
Fixed fee per scoped engagement, or a monthly retainer with capped days. No hourly billing.
What if the scope changes mid-build?
We re-scope in the open. Usually something gets cut rather than the timeline getting longer.
Do you do proof-of-concept work?
Only where there's a path to production. A demo nobody can ship isn't worth either of our time.

data & security

Our data is sensitive. How do you handle that?
Under your DPA and access controls. Self-hosted and VPC-only deployments are routine, and I work with redacted or synthetic data where that's the right call.
Which model providers do you use?
Whichever your compliance position allows, including self-hosted open weights. The architecture shouldn't depend on one vendor.

after handover

What do we actually get at the end?
Working code in your repo, the eval suite gating it, architecture notes explaining the decisions, a runbook, and a working session with the engineers taking it forward.
Is there support afterwards?
A month of questions is included. Beyond that, a small retainer if you want me reachable.

Still have a question?

Ask it in two lines. I reply within two working days, and if it isn't a fit I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
